Abstract
|
In order to recognise practical and professional periods spent abroad for students engaged in Undergraduate Technology programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and also skilled workers, a European consortium named Valeurtech was set up: it included 35 partners from higher education institutions and professional organisations in eight European countries. This Leonardo Pilot project was aimed at setting up a homogeneous process based on a common reference system for skills and a harmonised assessment procedure, so that experience acquired in a professional situation abroad becomes explicit and more easily assessed. You will find hereafter a database giving students useful information to better prepare their professional placement in one of the partner countries? firms, as well as a toolbox for teachers.
