| Abstract | Based on nine case studies of representative universities in South East Europe, the author presents some of the pitfalls and the successes registered by these universities in their efforts to adhere to the guidelines of the Bologna Process. Some of these institutions have come further than others in achieving the objectives of the Process. All of them recognize that these objectives offer them a valuable reform blueprint.
