Abstract With ever-increasing student mobility, higher education instituitons are turning to new modes of research, often using data, to understand and improve the experience of international students on their campuses. Data from the International Student Barometer survey reveals that nationality and year of study are predictive of student satisfaction, using a sample of Chinese, Indian, and South Korean students studying in the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia. Examples from universities are used to further demonstrate the effectiveness of employing cross-institutional and cross-country data to improve the international student experience.
