Abstract
|
This article is based on small scale research on the social dimension in Ireland and the Netherlands and aims to provide stakeholders in the Bologna Process with examples of its implementation. Since it serves to introduce the social dimension in two specific countries, and since its definition of the social dimension is rather broad, it does not claim to provide clear-cut guidelines for implementation. Instead, it is designed to help HEI staff and other stakeholders visualise the social dimension in their own country, to provide a learning opportunity and to provoke thought and discussion. It should be borne in mind that information and data, which were accurate at the time of conducting the research, may well have altered as a result of current economic turmoil and changes in government.
