Abstract This chapter is mainly concerned with a comparative study of the development of university curriculum and teaching activities undertaken by the academy in 18 countries and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People?s Republic of China. This chapter focuses on the discussion of actors who approve new academic programs and academics? views on their teaching activities. In addition, this chapter pays attention to the analysis of academics? involvement with curriculum development and teaching activities in the USA, Japan, and China. Finally, this chapter identifies similarities and differences in the academics? teaching activities and their involvement with curriculum development in all the participating countries..
