Abstract The electronic delivery of higher education instruction appears to have both positive and negative consequences even if the situation is evolving rapidly and no definitive conclusions can be drawn. While the Internet is said to be a great equalizer; at the same time, it exacerbates inequality. It fuels unrealizable expectations. It may or may not reduce true personal engagement. E-learning strategies, formats, curricula, and the credentials that can be earned will lead the learner to employment; however, must training replace education? A standardization of the standards of e-learning will help to energize e-globalized learning. (HRK / Abstract übernommen)
