• Marketing for study and doctoral training programmes of Freie Universität Berlin
• Publicising new research projects (Collaborative Research Centres, clusters etc.) and recent research results from Freie Universität Berlin (e.g. through websites, newsletters or mailing lists)
• Assistance for researchers based at Freie Universität Berlin to organise conferences and other events abroad
• Providing information about academic and research developments in the region (e.g. information about new scholarship or research programmes)
• Organisation of and support for international alumni activities

India Office of the University of Göttingen, Delhi and Pune

Tasks:
The India Office coordinates and supports academic exchange and research cooperation projects with partner institutions in India. It serves as a point of contact and information for Indian universities, researchers and students who are interested in the University of Göttingen and for researchers and students from Göttingen who cooperate with peers in India or are visiting India. The India Office also advises individual faculties and university leadership on strategic issues relating to India and the development of cooperation arrangements and partnerships at various levels. It promotes collaboration in research and study programmes between partners in India and the University of Göttingen as well as other institutions on the Göttingen campus. Its key tasks are to initiate and support this type of cooperation arrangement, to recruit outstanding Indian students and researchers, to promote the exchange of researchers, students and staff, to organise academic events and delegation visits to India and Germany and to support the ongoing development of the alumni network in India.

University of Cologne Regional Office India, New Delhi

Tasks:
The Branch Office in New Delhi integrates the University of Cologne (UoC) into the higher education policy context in India. It serves as the first point of contact for staff and students from Indian universities as well as the same target group from the UoC. The office team fosters partnerships between the UoC and institutions in the Indian higher education landscape.
The Office Head is responsible for maintaining Indian-German academic cooperations and supports already existing exchange programmes between the UoC and Indian tertiary education institutions. Moreover, she organises and supports delegation visits, conferences, summer schools and seminars in India and builds up alumni contacts through the network of Indian and German UoC alumni.

Tasks:
TUM Mumbai is based at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai and is a member of the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) in New Delhi. The liaison office is the first point of contact for interested students and researchers in India, supports the initiation and strengthening of academic cooperation with Indian universities, research institutions and industry partners, and advises and recruits outstanding students and early career researchers to the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The office also supports the TUM alumni network in India and advises TUM staff on developments taking place in the Indian higher education and research market.
