The German Rectors’ Conference member group Universities of Applied Sciences has elected Prof. Dr Jörg Bagdahn, President of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, as its new spokesperson. His term of office begins on 1 December this year and is initially for two years. The spokesperson of the Universities of Applied Sciences and Universities member groups belongs to HRK’s ten-member Executive Board in accordance with the rules of procedure.
Bagdahn has been head of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences since 2016 and has held the chair for Photovoltaic Materials there since 2009. He has been the spokesperson for universities of applied sciences in Saxony-Anhalt since 2018 as well as a member of the HRK Senate and is involved in many ways in the context of HRK work.
Prof. Dr Jörg Bagdahn is going to succeed Prof. Dr Karim Khakzar. The President of Fulda University of Applied Sciences and Professor of Electrical and Communications Engineering has been the spokesperson for the member group since 2016. He has reached the permissible total term of office of six years after being re-elected twice.
